City gets wheels turning on bike initiative

OHIO -- Andrew Davis has a vision of Akron as a more bicycle-friendly community, a place where pedal power is used for day-to-day transportation.

To that end, the 43-year-old civil engineer, who commutes by bicycle between his home in Highland Square and his job at Akron City Hall, is heading a project to put Share the Road signs and pavement markings on the city's streets.
